Our mission: To sustain and develop robust emergency management programs to ensure the protection of our community.
In recent years, the Colleges of the Fenway has made significant progress in enhancing emergency management programs across all five of our institutions. This has resulted from great teamwork among each campus’s Public Safety Departments, key leadership, emergency preparedness committees, and many other dedicated people from across our colleges and universities.
The Colleges of the Fenway Emergency Management Program is committed to coordinating each of our campus’s individual emergency management programs and helping develop them through collaborative mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop experienced and cohesive incident management teams at each COF institution
- Provide emergency preparedness and response training for staff, faculty, and students
- Plan and conduct various emergency exercises across the Colleges of the Fenway
- Develop and sustain relationships with the broader community including external partners across the Longwood Medical Area, City of Boston, and Massachusetts
- Manage shared emergency response equipment and notification systems across the COF institutions for streamlined and when appropriate, manage shared communications
- Provide coordinated and collaborative response during emergencies
