The Center for Sustainability and the Environment at the Colleges of the Fenway is pleased to welcome Wen Stephenson, independent journalist and essayist, engaged citizen, and author of What We’re Fighting for Now Is Each Other: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Climate Justice.
Wen Stephenson, former editor at the Boston Globe and The Atlantic and contributing writer for the Nation, The New York Times, Grist, and many other venues, has devoted the past fifteen years to understanding climate change, its deeply-rooted inequities, and how individuals have summoned the resolve to transform our carbon-dependent culture. In Naomi Klein’s words, Stephenson’s book What We’re Fighting for Now Is Each Other is “nothing less than a love letter to the student organizers, preachers, and frontline fighters struggling for climate justice across the United States. Together, these portraits coalesce into an impassioned call to action, offering a deep well of wisdom for any person coming to terms with the climate crisis.”
