Join us for the inaugural America East Sustainability Conference hosted on UMass Lowell’s campus, June 7-9, 2022! The conference will explore ways that our stakeholders and conference participants can work together to drive sustainable practices forward in their own programs, leverage additional resources and funding opportunities, and help create joint research and teaching projects focused on sustainability.
The conference will highlight partnership-focused approaches to sustainability. These partnerships span across the conference membership, between campuses, between communities, between departments on each campus, between sports and sustainability and more; we will highlight the value of these partnerships and what they can accomplish.
Our lineup of expert speakers will share best practices and actionable steps for a collaborative approach to sustainability created from valuable partnerships. Featured sessions include sustainable design and operations in athletic facilities, the connection between social/environmental justice and nature to improve mental health, sustainable product design and development, and strategies for fostering collaboration between athletics and sustainability offices.
