COF’s annual Teaching & Learning Conference is one of the pillar collaborative projects that the five Colleges of the Fenway embarked on together over 20 years ago, now led by the COF Teaching & Learning Committee. The purpose of the COF Teaching & Learning Committee is to collaborate on and advance best practices in teaching, learning, and academic technology in support of student learning outcomes while serving as a community of practice for colleagues across the consortium. The Committee also works to identify efficiencies and economies of scale as part of professional development, joint contracts, and shared services. The committee includes representatives from each of the colleges.

This year’s Teaching & Learning Conference builds on Dr. Joshua Eyler’s Keynote delivered to the COF community at Simmons University in October 2022, by focusing on “Innovations in Assessment, Feedback and Grading” by highlighting achievements, strategies, and techniques from our own COF faculty and staff concerning assessment, feedback, and grading.

Our 2023 Spring conference consisted of 7 presentations from faculty throughout the COF. Presenters shared their strategies and techniques in assessment through teaching demos, mini workshops and virtual discussion groups.
