The risks of studying and traveling off campus can be greater than studying on campus due to unfamiliar territory and new environments. The responsibility for informing oneself of the full range of risks rests with the traveler.
What resources does the COF provide to help me prepare for travel abroad?
Colleges of the Fenway has negotiated a contract with International SOS, a medical and travel security company, that provides information and expertise, both before your trip and while abroad, to help safeguard personal health and security. Here is a quick summary of their services:
Pre-Travel:
- Security briefings and advice regarding destination
- Medical & health briefings regarding destination
- Mental Health consultations
During Travel:
- $0.00 deductible for emergency medical coverage
- Medical coordination, advice and translation services
- Including Emotional Support (5 counseling sessions and referrals)
- Continual security briefings and notifications
- Political, natural disaster and emergency medical evacuations
- Family member travel for medical emergencies
- Trip interruption and lost baggage
- Repatriation
How to enroll?
