Kara Fili, Contemporary
For over 15 years Kara has worked to bring dance experiences to people ages 3 – 103 in all kinds of places including schools, studios, senior centers, parks and theaters. She earned her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a Concentration in Performance Creation from Goddard College and is a performing member of Benkadi Drum & Dance and Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion. Using her background in West African, contemporary modern, ballet and tap, she also choreographs independently and with her partner, Stephen Serwacki, to create dance that is rhythmic, 100% authentic and slightly absurd.
