Campagna Receives National Recognition for Athletics Dedication

Emmanuel College Assistant Athletic Director Dan Campagna was recently honored as a “2019 Sports 40 Under 40” recipient at the National High School Athletics Coaches Association (NHSACA) convention in late June.

Sponsored by “Coach and Athletic Director Magazine” (Coach & A.D.), the 40 Under 40 honor recognizes young industry professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their sport(s) or departments and innovation and industry leadership within the high school, collegiate, professional and industry athletic professions. Campagna is one of only two recipients of this national award in the collegiate ranks this year.

“Emmanuel has been my home since the day I set foot on campus as a student-athlete and that feeling has never changed,” Campagna told Coach & A.D. “I love being a part of the Saints community and am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be so involved at the place that helped shape the person I am today.”

A 2007 Emmanuel graduate, Campagna returned to the College in 2011 and served as the Assistant Sports Information Director for five years before ascending to the role of Director of Athletic Communications, Sports Information and Compliance in 2015. In 2017, Campagna rose to his current role as Assistant Athletic Director.

Campagna oversees Emmanuel’s game day operations, which includes management of a student staff of over 50, many of whom have also sought careers in athletics administration. Additionally, Campagna oversees all of the department’s communications and spearheads the College’s NCAA compliance efforts. He also serves on the women’s soccer coaching staff and as an adjunct faculty member, teaching a course in sport communication.
