Panel:  Multidisciplinary Assessment of Writing

-Chris Parkhurst, will discuss the assessment of writing for non-native
English speakers.
 

-Jenne Powers will address collaboration between faculty from different
disciplines in creating effective writing support for students with disabilities and
non-native speakers of English.
 

-Ted Rooney, will address the standardized, cumulative assessment of student
writing that can best help a college to determine whether its students are achieving
the same level of writing ability despite their varying courses of study.

-Jason DeWitt will discuss the development of the rubric that Harvard used to score
writing samples.
