Kristen Duffy Young
received her BA in Dance and BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is currently pursuing an MFA from Goddard College. She is a Certified Movement Analyst from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NY, as well as a Certified Mat Pilates Instructor under the Kane School of Core Integration's anatomy-based program. She is also a Co-Director of Accumulation Contemporary Dance Company.
Kristen has danced professionally with Bosoma Dance Company, Weber Dance, Influx Dance, and The Turnpike Project/Julie Pike Edmond, and has instructed master classes at Fairfield University, Salem State College, American Dance Festival, and the American College Dance Festival. She has also served as a Board Member of the Boston Dance Alliance. |

As an instructor, Kristen believes in the artistic potential of every student, and emphasizes creative expression as well as technique in her classes and rehearsals. Her work is influenced by her studies in yoga, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Alexander Technique, and training in classical ballet and modern dance.
