A defining feature of the COF consortium is cross-registration, which enables students, faculty, and staff to take courses at other COF institutions. With over 1,500 courses available, cross-registration enriches the academic experience for both students and employees.

Steps to Cross-Register at MassArt, MCPHS, Simmons, or Wentworth

Search for courses: To cross register for courses at MassArt, MCPHS, Simmons, or Wentworth, visit crossregistration.colleges-fenway.org. After selecting your home institution, use the search bar and filters at to see courses that you can register for. You can save or favorite courses to come back to later.

Learn more about the course: Learn more about the course by clicking on the description, seeing the prerequisites, instructors, meeting times, and how it will translate back to your home institution. Here you will be able to see the available seats in each section.

Prepare transcripts: If your course of interest requires a pre-requisite, download your transcript copy to have it handy for uploading into the registration system.

Add the course: As long as the course is open, you can add the course, sign off on the consent form, and fill in the enrollment information.

Receive course confirmation: After processing, you will have a confirmation on the screen, and the class will now show on your Cross-Registration portal. If the course needs to be reviewed by your home institution, you will be notified on this screen. If enrollment eligibility verification or pre-requisite review is necessary, students can expect to hear an enrollment confirmation or denial within 1-2 business days.

Learn more about the course: Click on the hyperlinked section name to preview details like dates, time, location, credits, grading basis, requisites, and the course description.

Prepare transcripts: If your course of interest requires a pre-requisite, download your transcript copy to have it handy for uploading on the application form.

Submit an application request form online: After collecting your course details, submit the cross-registration request form online here. Be sure to read through the directions and details provided at the top of the online form.

Receive course confirmation: Students will be notified by the Emmanuel College registrar via email whether their enrollment was approved or denied. Students can expect to hear an enrollment confirmation or denial within 1-2 business days.

Steps for Emmanuel College students to Cross-Register at Other COF Institutions
